I know I should really clean it up and sell it but I kinda want to play with it.

For WAH (pastel) and the 100 Still Life project (29/100 - sooo behind!).

Apologies in advance for future overloading - I have some catch up to do.

Apologies also for being a crap Flickr mate but life got even more interesting....

Some of you may remember from a picture in 2017 (in comments) that my mum who is now only 75 has Alzheimers. We were so lucky that my dad and she managed to get down and stay with us after Christmas last year. Since then things have deteriorated until the previous weekend when she became acutely unwell needing police and ambulance services in the night. She was admitted to their local hospital and I managed to get time off work and drive up last Wednesday for a few days, crossing over with my brother (You will have seen the pics of my dad and I). We spent time with mum but we also looked at homes and found one which we hope will be perfect for her. She transferred into it Monday just gone. Initially for respite and then the family will need to make a decision about return to home or not.
It is still challenging but she seems settled. We hope that the stable and excellent care they can provide 24 hours a day will keep her happy and anxiety free and possibly halt further quick deterioration but it is a horrible disease. My lovely dad can finally get some space and some rest having been her carer for so long.

I suspect I will be driving to and from on a much more regular basis to spend time with them both.
