1/100 of the 100 project where 100 is going to be "still life'. I like to choose the 100 to challenge me technically. I did mono urban architecture last year and didn't enjoy it as much as I wished, so let us hope this one is more fun.

I am lucky to have a white table in a white room with a large window but I suspect I may need to find other tabletops!

Also for 3/100 Still Life - I thought I would try something different. I took a load of pics at different settings, and have some more conventional ones but this appealed to me because of the light on the leaf and the softness. I am looking for gentle critique on my still life shots as this is going to be a big learning curve for me.
My own critique on this is that I think I should have tried getting lower down so the edge of the plant pot corresponded to the edge of the white windowsill behind.

I played with this in Lightroom. It is nice to use it again - I spent a lot of time in LR when I did my portrait year. I need to get back into it. It just takes that little bit longer than my normal i-photos processing!!
I really liked the contrast between light and shade on the back wall so played a little to make this more pronounced.
Many thanks all for your fab critique on the poinsettia shot - I have been playing with it in LR too. Feedback always welcome on this project.

Two shots today for the 100 group.
These are actually my daughters but I am very partial to the occasional (annual) wearing of extremely high heels. I like this because of the contrast of shade and light on the two shoes which is almost opposite. if I could I might have tried to get the reflections better.
