March 13th. A very early preschool, pre work shot. The day is going to be frantic! I shall touch base by phone if possible.
So another fact about me. I love to cook. As does my hubby. I'm also a bit stringent about junk so we never take them to outlets e.g, McDonald's etc. For me, it's not just about the (crap addictive ) food but the business and it's influence on politics ( you only need to know about the soda fiasco in NY to know what I mean)
Anyway we insist the kids have a home cooked meal every evening, even if we can't be there to eat it with them and we cook the night before so all our childminder has to do is heat it up. We get bored of cooking the same things all the time so every so often we make it interesting.
At Lent even more so. Last year we did 40 vegetarian suppers (we are not vegetarians) and wrote a blog about it. I can try and find the link if anyone's interested. It was funny because despite all the above my children can be very fussy. This year we are doing a chef a week ( updates on FB for family) but the children can choose. So far we have done Jamie Oliver, Nigel Slater, Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall and Nigella.
This week it is the Ramsays (Gordon and Tana). Last night I prepped steak burgers with red pepper sauce (Tana Ramsay's Family Kitchen). So the childminder just had to cook. This is a picture of the recipe book open for her so she knows where she is, with my beloved wok hanging on the wall behind.

January 9th. Wednesdays are my 'flexi' day. I can go in a little later. So I have the luxury of taking my youngest to the bus and seeing some daylight. This morning started sunny with lovely light. I still find myself attracted to water drops despite completing the refraction challenge. I had many shots of the multiple drops on the washing line reflecting in the light. I could have cropped this more but liked the fan effect of the lines. I have increased the contrast a little (Snapseed) just to highlight the drops.

March 19th. I've been thinking about this shot today. Wanted to do a high key shot but also get the theme for the glass slipper blog "feeling lucky". I tried various ways but am coming to the conclusion I need some better lighting!
It was hard taking a picture of my left hand in front of a wall lit by natural light, without too many shadows. Again the focus was often hit or miss so I had to set it manually and then move the camera in and out! I have cropped this and buffed it Snapseed.

August 16th. After last nights frustration I was determined to get a shot I was really pleased with before travelling away again. So I went out first thing with the macro lens to the blue fence (thinking about fence Friday as well).
There were some corner webs just full of rain drops. So heavy that I was surprised they hadn't broken, and I had a lovely time. I have other pics that may crop up for other themes but this I loved. I have cropped slightly and darkened but the blue is from the fence behind and not added.
This also works for me for my Ipernity group - Games and other disasters - "mirrorz" -lots of little reflective jewels here!
