January 18th. A challenge from the 365 moments group: take a photo of your camera. I've been thinking about this. This year I am using my Nikon Coolpix, my I phone 4 and my ( huh hum, my husbands) Canon 1000D. I transfer the pics onto my I pad using the camera connection kit and edit and upload from here. So i decided to take a picture of the team and set up a mini studio in an old wine box with the kit sitting on the i pad box. I took this using my daughters Canon Power shot and then noticed that if I moved I could get myself reflected in the I phone screen ( this bit is grainy because it has a protective screen on it). So, here's me and my team! It works better in mono because the Nikon is so brightly orange it's very distracting!

January 17th. Really terrible outside light today. Was briefly in St Mawes and took a load of pics. Very disappointed really in most of them. Everything looked so flat and miserable. So, this old petrol pump on the waterfront always makes me smile. I have tarted it up in Snapseed. I am cross I didn't get the top of the yellow sign, but in my other shot, I didn't get the bottom of the pump. Also I couldn't get it straight - its Cornwall - nothing goes exactly vertical. Aaaaaargh.
There is no selective colour processing in this - natures own, just boosted slightly by me by increasing saturation!
I'm sort of hoping this shot makes the magic donkey look away as the pressure of 11 Explores is too much for me...... except it didn't!

January 16th. Perhaps the Force was too strong in that one. Bet this never happened to Darth Vader.
This is taken on our slate work top with the light from the kitchen window behind. Cropped slightly and saturation increased a little in Snapseed.

January 15th. I had a spare half hour at work. My rings were on my desk,I have to take them off in the day, so I put them on some white paper. I have never done jewellery before. additionally I am quite impressed with the level of macro in this point and shoot. I have desaturated this slightly, lighting was light though the window, but not cropped. I think this is pretty minimalistic too. I was pleased with this so will be using for my non themed 52s (week 3). Oh yes and the title? My wedding ring was my nans, my engagement ring was made from a brooch belonging to my mother in law and the silver ring was bought new for me by my hubby.
