January 2nd. So weather has returned to default setting of wet and miserable. I did however manage to get into town to do jobs, buy school shoes and spend Xmas money, all by 2 pm! One of my 52 projects has a theme of 'our house', so this is looking at the mantelpiece with the room behind and Christmas lights and tree. The figurine was given to us for our wedding as were both pics you can see reflected. The dove is a Christmas decoration.

I do worry that I am going to get confused which group has which theme!

Week 2 - the theme for one group is water drop refraction. I have never done this before so this is something new (BB52) for me. Gulp. So I spent a happy half hour taking pictures of wet plants. I may not have the best lens but I certainly have the weather. And look! I was so pleased with this. I thought I would have to spend all week trying to get one. I am using this for this group but another picture for my 365s, which I loved more. However the challenge was great and I am dead chuffed.

This is taken on our slate work top with the light from the kitchen window behind. Cropped slightly and saturation increased a little in Snapseed.

I had lots of ideas for this quote which was sent to me once on a card by a friend. Why tequila? My husband and I met over a bottle of tequila and I guess it's about growing old disgracefully! The other quote I live by is attributed to Bob Monkhouse of all people
