First light on a chilly fall morning shining on the El Capitan in the Yosemite Valley. I first visited the park in 2015 and I had been hoping for these conditions ever since. Took at least a dozen tries, and many sleepless nights, but I think it was worth it.
PS: If you look closely, you can see lights from climbers El Capitan.

With forecast of a storm rolling in, I knew I had to get out capture the clouds before it got overcast. My original shooting location didn't get any direct sunlight because of the thick clouds near the horizon, so I decided to make a run to the other side of the hill I was shooting from. It took me around 20 minute to get to the other spot, and sun was already up. At this point, I wasn't expecting to see any light on the other side either, but then, the sky opened up just enough to let in this beautiful golden light. The conditions lasted for no more than a few minutes, but that was enough for me grab a few quick shots. And this is the end result.

Inverted appearing landscape of northern California. You see a fog wave rolling over the hills as a the sun sets behind the mountains in the distance. No matter how many times I come across such scenes, they always manage to evoke a feeling of awe in me.

Beautiful fall morning over the Tetons.
This is a shot of the 3 Tetons taken from the South as lenticular clouds form over the peaks on a warm fall morning.
This was my very first time flying in a single engined aircraft, and we chose the right place to do it. Seeing such a spectacular cloud formation for up close was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and I would always be grateful that I chose to fly that morning.
