Salon Nirvana is a very cool, chic, classy hair and make-up salon in Anchorage, Alaska. For some reason they invited me to shoot an Earth themed session with 5 models representing Earth, Water, Air, Fire, and Energy/Innocence (that sounds like me). They are going to use the photos to hang in their salon. I was absolutely thrilled and flattered to do this; I rounded up some shooters from our motley crew and we shot with the Salon Nirvana lasses in July 2011.

We took some photos while the models were getting made up and then we went into downtown Anchorage. This has been a great summer here, but on the day we shot, just as we left for downtown, we had a nasty downpour - so we had to change our plans and end up shooting in a parking garage and then went to Town Square. Overall it was a great shoot - I wish the weather was better - and I sure hope Salon Nirvana asks us back again!
