So - with macro mondays in mind I shoved my camera, with macro lens, upside down under my little acer. Imagine my shock when my pictures showed an outcrop of bugs, rather than the delicate tracery of veins and colour I expected!
I am kind of hoping these could be very young ladybird larvae - any thoughts? I will keep watch to see how they develop ....

A rather cold windy visit to Leonardslee Gardens - however lots of promise of bluebells, azaleas and rhododendrons - The gardens reopen after a 10 year closure this coming Saturday 6th April.
