This young Springer spaniel was rather interested in the Mute swan armada. Harness, lead and hand strength were tested. The swans were, I think, more interested in seeing if any food was going to be offered.
A nice incident - but a horribly distracting background.
I have a puerile desire to draw a witty a speech bubble above the rearmost pair of swans.....

Straw's Bridge has a large pond/small lake that is very attractive to wildfowl - it's more popular name locally is Swan Lake. It is a good place to picnic or just walk round and watch their antics. The birds were on form on Wednesday - this swan was taking a rather relaxed attitude to life. For one of the others it was a very different story - it was rather stroppy and was attacking any other bird (of any variety) that came anywhere near it and I'll post some of those shots in due course.
