I haven't tried to image the Orion Nebula in over 4 years and I finally made it out last Friday night to see what I still knew. The conditions were perfect and I was going for an hour's worth of data but I lost 40 mins of exposures due to being ever so slightly out of focus. I ended up with 20 mins of salvageable data and I was surprised at how much detail was present for being just on the outskirts of Madison, Wisconsin. I'm hoping to catch some more light later this year and early next year.
