A White-crowned Sparrow appeared while I had fun taking shots of rain and aspen leaves.
I enjoyed seeing these birds as fledglings when we lived in Alaska. Now, living in the Lower 48, I can see them as adults.

This is a juvenile pied-billed grebe. Pretty cute little guy swimming around the fishing pond at Veteran's Oasis Park in Chandler, Arizona. As it matures, it will lose that tiger striping on its face and will become just a solid color.

Lots of cacti in bloom here in the Sonoran Desert right now. Such amazing colors, IMO. I usually go to parks with my bird lens, so I make it double as a macro for cactus bloom shots.
