From what I understand, today is the end of Ghost Month here in Taiwan, or should I say all areas that observe it. A very solemn ceremony indeed. Taoist ceremony? I am told it was.

I ventured up this ceremony as it was ending. This appears to be the finalization of Ghost Month. Items were tossed into a small fire and then the crowd did the same. Food was gathered up and all departed. They were so kind to me with smiles that made realize life is good here.
