I came across this very young Bobcat the other day while I was driving. I thought it was a house cat at a quick glance because it was so small. A first juvenile for me which was exciting. This was taken during the last hour of light. Click for large view,
After waking up on this mound from a quick nap, this Badger looks around before heading up to his burrow to sleep. The light was low but I preferred it to the golden light actually. click for large view.
The light was perfect and the poses that this Badger was giving was amazing. This was one of many poses he displayed. I always like seeing their claws and this shot gives you a nice look at them. In this shot he was sitting on his bottom balancing himself and scratching. Almost looking like he was playing Twister :) click for large view.
After photographing this beautiful male on wood perch we walked backed and found him eating some shorebird on this nice perch. I stepped back to get this neat background. I eventually got much closer but the background was better further back.
I finally got my 500 pf and my first day out yielded this female Merlin eating breakfast. I initially drove past her and flipped around and slowly drove up to her for a few shots. I had to line myself up with a background I desired and came away with this nice colorful bokeh. Click for larger view.
