I was out the other morning searching for owls. I thought I was driving on the usual main road where I always search, but I ended going straight at this one bend. It didn't look familiar at first, but I kept driving. I noticed after exploring this road on the way back a Western Screech Owl sunning itself. The light was harsh so I came back to photograph it. I spent two evenings with it. I'm hoping next time he emerges from the hole below this one. They are tough to find in my area. A lucky treat!
