From North Malaita, Solomon Islands. Given to me by my E. Kwaio friends on my last visit. They wanted to give me the small version (one that hangs around the neck to store betel nut, lime and leaves), as they wanted to put a devil in it so the devil would make sure I returned to Solomon Islands in the near future. Unfortunately, no devil and I haven't been able to return for too many years now.
