Taken Brownsea Island, Dorset....... A selection of shots taken over a number of visits. These squirrels are very quick over the ground and can disappear in the blink of an eye. The challenge is to get shots in good light as most of the time the squirrels forage on the ground within the wooded areas. Brownsea Island, situated within Poole harbour, is one of a very few locations where these indigenous squirrels can be found.

Taken Brownsea Island, Dorset. This squirrel was busy collecting sweet chestnuts. I watched it for quite a while before I got the opportunity to get a reasonable shot through the leaves as it paused momentarily.

Taken Brownsea Island, Dorset...arrived early and tried to get some squirrel shots. Found this chap up an isolated dead tree exploring a woodpecker hole. I thought there would be some good photo opportunities ?
