Taken South Ivy Hide, Blashford Lakes, Hampshire.
I had spent a while in this hide and decided to move on as it was so quiet. I was about to head home when I bumped into someone who had been in the same hide. He showed me some lovely shots of the Bank Vole he managed to get about five minutes after I left !!..... Inspired, by his excellent results, I returned to chance my luck with the Bank Vole for the second time. Within minutes this wonderful Kingfisher perched on a branch in front of my position (within 8'). I managed to get two shots before it was gone as quickly as it arrived. It had caught a small fish which was a real bonus. Not to be upstaged by the Kingfisher, the Bank Vole made an appearance.
