This is the basic building.

I haven't built anything for my model train layout for so long. It took me a couple of days to decide what to restart with. I decided to start with something simple and more relatively easy to kitbash. I'm looking foward to getting this building bash done by over the weekend.

I bought 3 of these building kits. In this photo I basically ripped off the roofs. The frustrating thing with these tomix buildings is they come glued together from the factory. So it takes some force and time to rip parts off with out breaking things.

I then did a quick cutting on 2 of the buildings. I used the dremel to cut the base off them. It's really rough but tomorrow I'm going to sad the 2 other bottoms level and match them to the tops of the other pieces.

Once I get this done I'm going to custom cut individual floors out for all 12 stories. As you can see right through the building. I'll have to add holes for a mini florescent tube in the future. I will also add some minor interior details to each floor, walls, people, plants etc.

I am also going to customize the shop level store fronts as well. I'm not happy with the factory looking shop front. In fact it looks horrible. I'll probably cut this out with the dremel too and rebuild an interesting shop front and signage.
