This scarce vagrant bird generally showed at a distance, around 100 yards, but on one occasion it flew to another lagoon, so... I chanced standing in an area, hoping it would fly back. It was more luck than judgement that it did fly back across close enough for some better images. Great bird for the reserve and a nice ending to the weekend.
