The area where I photograph has an "advisory" not to be there during eclipse since we will have totality. They have not witnessed an event like this and do not know how the "critters" will behave, like the gators, the snakes and the feral pigs which all come out at dusk. SO...easy choice I will view from my pool!

All the signs of the of Osprey raised at Forsythe Refuge are erased for another season....adults left first with the offspring following within a few weeks from their departure. Nests have already been broken down by the storms we have had or from other birds looking for leftovers...Even a Bald Eagle was seen sitting on the Osprey nest. So between the empty stands and the green marsh turning to brown......I guess winter is well on its way.
