This image I shot with the Canon 5D Mark II and the Canon TS-E 24mm f3.5L Tilt+Shift Lens with the Hoya ND x400 Filter and Lee 0.9 Soft Grad ND Filter, at ISO 50, 210 seconds at f8, manual focus. It is a merge of 3 separate RAW images shot at +10mm shift, 0m shift, and -10mm shift respectively. Cropped, and not much else. Leura Cascades, Blue Mountains National Park, NSW, January 2010, dawn.

This shot of the middle section of Katoomba Falls in the Blue Mountains National Park, NSW, was taken in July 2009. Since then, the NPWS has put up signs prohibiting standing where I was to take this shot.

Britannia Falls, Valley of The Waters, Blue Mountains National Park, NSW, Australia

Shot in the early morning, deep in the valley before the sunlight came over the clifftop above and in front of me, and with the assistance of my trusty rusty Hoya ND x400 filter slapped on the Canon EF 24-70mm f2.8L lens.

If the mid-section of Katoomba Falls, where this shot was taken in the Blue Mountains National Park, NSW, was residential real estate the view across Jamison Valley and to Mt Solitary would be worth millions. On this morning, just after dawn, Mt Solitary was wearing an almost motionless fog like a hat. The composition was inspired by the work of Ben Pearse.
