After missing what was probably a great sunrise because I overslept, I decided to go check out Rock Creek lake. It's a spot I have gone out to many times before but haven't gone out there for about 2-3 years. With Mt Morgan looming above the southern shore of the lake and with all the aspens lining it's shores, this is one of the best spots for fall color in the eastern Sierra Nevada mountains and it did not disappoint even though as you can see, some of the aspens are past peak so I missed the best color by about a week or two by my reckoning. Still Anna and I enjoyed going out there and see the beauty of God's creation.
