Taken 28/02/20 at the Triangle, Sidmouth. I took advantage of the Highcliffe Coaches super saver trip to a wet Sidmouth to meet up with my brother and managed a few bus snaps (there wasn't time to make it out to the old railway station buildings).

Available since 2006, the N230UD is the best selling variant of the Scania N-series chassis; a line of low-floor bus chassis with a straight-up, transversely mounted Euro IV or newer engine at the rear, built by Scania since 2006. The Alexander Dennis Enviro400 is a twin-axle or three-axle double-decker bus built by the British bus manufacturer Alexander Dennis since 2005 in Guildford, England. The second generation Enviro400 MMC was launched in 2014. The Enviro400 is available both as an integral bus or as seen here as standalone bodywork.

According to Wikipedia "... in 1996, Dennis launched a low-floor version of the Dart known as the Dart SLF, with the letters SLF standing for Super Low Floor in reference to the new low-floor design. It was 2.4m wide and initially offered in lengths of 9.2m, 10m and 10.6m, with air suspension introduced in place of the taper leaf used in the original design. The driveline of the step-entrance Dart was retained, although some early examples were fitted with Eaton manual transmission. As to the bodywork "... Alexander Dennis Enviro200 (previously known as the TransBus Enviro200) is a midibus that was manufactured by TransBus International and later Alexander Dennis between 2003 and 2018. The original TransBus Enviro200 design was innovative but ultimately unsuccessful, with few being sold before the introduction of the second generation Enviro200 (originally referred to as the Enviro200 Dart) revived sales for the product from 2006."

Taken 28/02/20 at the Triangle, Sidmouth. Despite the 'not in service' display I assume this Solo was laying over on the 382 route between Sidmouth and Whimple via Ottery St. Mary

According to Wikipedia the Optare Solo"... is a low-floor minibus/midibus with 1 or 2 doors manufactured by Optare in the United Kingdom since 1998. The Solo name is a play on its low-floor status, the manufacturer marketing its vehicle as having an entrance that is "so low" from the floor, namely 200 mm (8 in) with kneeling suspension. In January 2012 Optare announced the end of production for the original Solo design with a modified Solo SR taking over. The original innovative design, featuring a front axle ahead of the entrance door, gained a Millennium product award, along with a Queen's Award for Enterprise."

According to their website "... based in Hatch Beauchamp near Taunton, Somerset, Hatch Green Coaches is an independently owned transport company providing bus services, school transport and coach & minibus hire in the South West. Our friendly, professional team takes pride in delivering safe and reliable services at competitive prices. Using excellently maintained vehicles, that are immaculately presented, we are the local bus and coach specialists.
