Taken 10/09/11: The M7s were no strangers to ecs workings in BR days, regularly operating on Waterloo pilot duties and ecs workings between Waterloo and Clapham Junction, until being replaced by WR 0-6-0PT's and and BR Standard 2-6-4Ts in 1959.

10/09/11: The fireman changing the destination board has, by the power of Flickr, been identified as Swanage Railway (and Severn Valley Railway) fireman Tom Clarke. I seem to be stalking the poor chap as he fired my trip behind the 56XX at the 2009 gala:
