A male blackbird kept darting in and out of the area under a rosemary bush and the female seemed determined not to come out with him.
P.S. The next day the same thing was happening but eventually the challenging bird flew away and at last the other one emerged so I had a clear view and, to my surprise it was another male so it must have been a game of Chicken !

This Robin had flown into the greenhouse where I had put the old icecream box wit a supply of mealworms, it took some time to make up its mind and did a circuit of the greenhouse behind me before hopping in and helping itself, only taking one (On occasion it had managed to get three).

I had taken a spore print from the cap earlier and looking at the cap two days later it was moving! You see here why, it was seething with these tiny larvae, even where they are not directly visible the decaying cap was pulsating due to larvae underneath. I had a cough - apologies.
