When the late John Horner restored this ex Mixer, ex Showman Guy he had some wings fabricated locally to him and although they served a function, they never looked right to me with the squared off ends etc .

A few years ago i bought a set of wings from Angus Stewart up in Scotland at a fraction of the cost it cost him to have them made for a project
he had, i owned this Guy in 2017 but it now belongs to Tony Gothard.

Ive got the Guy Invincible on loan from Tony and i took it to the Classic Commercial show at Gaydon last year for him but i also promiced to make it look better and replace the wings on it as i had them in Huddersfield.

This was not an easy job at all and John Horner had used long coach bolts to bolt down the canopy and fix the wings to the frame with many Rivets too, the bolts underneath were in a narrow section underneath making grinding very difficult but im sure it will be worth it when done and these wing tops are very rusty indeed now.

Or should i say 'old look' as this is really what it looked like back in the day and ive decided to make it look more like it did in the early 80 when i first saw it in a book as a young lad.
