They're the only two who really knew what they went through, what it was all like.

They grew up in the sixties, galavanting around Hollywood, hanging out with Jimi Hendrix, watching Jim Morrison get hurled out of a house party, seeing shows on the Sunset Strip, hitchhiking to San Francisco.

They endured a horror show of a childhood. They survived and thrived and are still around, still supporting each other, all these decades later.

I do look back fondly on my growing up an only child...but watching my mom and my aunt, I see it's not so bad having to share those early years with another person. Another person who knows you, who understands you, someone who was There, and knows, intimately, what it was like.

Oh, also, this was them after a few of those, what do ya call 'em, spritzes? Those. Delightful drinks. Excellent for portraits.
