" The Luck of Edenhall"
This superb example of Syrian luxury glass is in pristine condition, is one of the most famous object in the V&A . Possible a souvenir from a pilgrimage to the Holy Lands, it belonged to the Musgrave family of Edenhall, Cumbria and became their talisman. Traditionally the cup was said to belong to the Fairies. When disturbed, they fled and left it behind saying ""If this cup should break or fall/ Fairwell the Luck of Edenhall."
