"Cragside" Rothbury, Northumberland, England. Cragside was the first house in the world to be lit using hydroelectric power. Built into a rocky hillside above a 4 kmĀ² forest garden, it was the country home of inventor Lord William Armstrong and has been in the care of the National Trust since 1977.

There is one way 6 mile estate drive at Cragside that take you around the perimeter which I recommend. Also several walk through the estate with nearly a million trees planted in the mid 1800's.
