"Calke Abbey, Derbyshire" is a "National Trust" House that was owned by the Harpur-Crewe family until 1984. This lucky clover pig is on the landing of the stairs and is one of a pair. The Family Crest has a boar on it so these pigs were play on the family.

"A La Ronde" was constructed in the 1790's for two single sisters Mary and Jane Parminter. It is said their insperation was from the Byzantine masterpiece "San Vitale" at Ravenna, Italy which they saw during a ten year grand tour of Europe. Except for one male owner the Rev. Oswald Reichel the house was always occupied by single women. The house is just outside Exmouth, Devon and overlooks the River Exe Estuary.

In 1991 the house was sold to the "National Trust" .
