From what I gather and glean from my grandmothers photos is the closeness of her schoolday class.

My grandmother is on the left with five of her girl friends...Just can't see a modern girl dress like this and without any bling whatever.. Very plain fashion, not at all brill but would guess their dresses were hand sewn by the girls themselves or their mothers...!!
