Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in Spain, founded in 1997, is designed by Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry. The outer wall is constructed with titanium and glass. The big spider is a large sculpture entitled "Maman 1999" by Louise Bourgeois (1911-2010). It is a bronze, marble and stainless steel artwork measuring 895x980x1,160cm, cast in 2001, Edition 2/6 + A.P. Another colour artwork on the patio of the museum is "Tulips" by Jeff Koons. It is made of high chromium stainless steel with transparent coating, 203x460x520cm, version 4/5. The river running across is Ria del Nervion O de Bilbao. This was taken on the steps leading up to the Salbeko Zubia flyover bridge.
