Borodino field - historical field, located to the west of Mozhaisk, near the village of Borodino. Here, August 26, 1812 (7 September), there was a battle between the Russian army under the command Kutuzov and the French army of Napoleon (Battle of Borodino, Bataille de la Moskova). In 1941-1942, there was held an advanced line of Moscow Mozhaisk line of defense. On the field - tens of monuments to the heroes of the Patriotic War of 1812 and the Soviet soldiers of the Great Patriotic War and graves.

The main monument to Russian soldiers, the heroes of the Battle of Borodino, on the battery Rajewski - the monument was laid in August 1837, the 25th anniversary of the Battle of Borodino. Shortly before that, in July 1839, at the foot of the monument are the remains of Prince Pyotr Bagration. In 1932, a monument and tomb Bagration were destroyed. In 1987, a monument and headstone on the grave of Bagration have been recreated in the old forms and materials (although with some differences in color). Found during the excavation of the remains of Bagration were buried in the grave.

Бородинское поле — историческое поле, находящееся к западу от Можайска, близ деревни Бородино. Здесь 26 августа 1812 года (7 сентября) произошло сражение между русской армией под предводительством Кутузова и французской армией Наполеона (Бородинское сражение). В 1941—1942 годах здесь проходил передовой рубеж Можайской линии обороны Москвы. На поле — десятки памятников героям Отечественной войны 1812 года и советским воинам Великой Отечественной войны и братские могилы.

Главный монумент русским воинам, героям Бородинского сражения, на батарее Раевского - памятник был заложен в августе 1837 года, в 25-ю годовщину Бородинского сражения. Незадолго до этого, в июле 1839 года, у подножия монумента были захоронены останки князя Петра Багратиона. В 1932 году памятник и могила Багратиона были разрушены. В 1987 году, памятник и надгробие на могиле Багратиона были воссозданы в прежних формах и материалах (правда с небольшими отличиями в окраске). Найденные при раскопках останки Багратиона были захоронены в могиле.
