Another image from my BC 2018 photography trip and another life list addition. There seemed to be Western Meadowlarks along almost every stretch of ranch land around Merritt B.C. I got many opportunities to photograph them from different angles and in different light throughout the full day we were in the area.
I have always wanted to photography the Eastern Meadowlark in a similar pose but none of the images have been as nice as this one of it's Western equivalent.

This female Mountain Bluebird was having no part of this male when he tried to join her on the fence post. This was the second frame of 8 where the two interacted and the first where the male's face was visible.

My first life list addition from my recent trip to British Columbia.
Male Cinnamon Teal. It was a real surprise to find 5 handsome males and a few females within 10 minutes of arriving at the first birding spot.
