Here's a short video of Harlequin Ducks that I created on Apr 29, 2015. The clips were made at Pipers Lagoon Park in Nanaimo, British Columbia in the early evening.

In the summer of 2014 I uploaded my first recording of Eastern Wolf howls in Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario to Youtube. At that time I had one short recording. The adult howling in the distance was not picked up by my camera mic and instead it only captured the pups of the pack.

Their howls were more like the yips of Coyotes and some people commenting on my post claimed that it was indeed coyotes and not wolves. However I have been assured several times by park staff that only Eastern wolves were in the location that I was recording in.

In this latest set of recordings you will be able to clearly hear adult and sub-adult wolves howling and, in one short clip, a couple of yips from the wolf pups.

I hope that you enjoy it as much as I had in recording them.

While at Mary's Point, New Brunswick on Aug 11, 2016 to experience the fall shorebird migration I took a few short videos to try and capture the spectacle. I've combined several clips into the video below.

Unfortunately I had to remove the audio portion as the wind was so strong it overshadowed the calls and wing beats of the thousands of Semipalmated (primarily) Sandpipers. I also had to run image stabilisation since my camera and lens were being blown by the strong wind even on a tripod. I do hope, however, that when you view this it will give you some sense of the excitement that I felt when I was there.
