One of my favorite birds. I photoshopped out the date stamp. I think I will post the SOOC version too. I was pretty happy with this one. "Tiny, drab birds with light ticking and lisping callnotes, Bushtits are common in woods and mountains of the west, but they are often inconspicuous. A flock feeding in a tree may go almost unnoticed until the birds fly out, perhaps twenty or thirty of them, in a straggling single file to the next tree. They are very sociable at most seasons, and groups will roost huddled close together in a tight mass on cold nights." Audubon

My best shot of the day. A little Bushtit. We heard so many birds that would not show themselves. We got fuzzy pictures of a Western Tanager and a few Hooded Orioles. This is a beautiful garden built on a landfill. You never know what you will see. 观鸟

We've been staying at "Camp David" for the past week without a computer and without TV. Practically everything we own was boxed up and moved to storage so that our carpet could be pulled up and a new sub-floor could be screwed into place with the goal of eliminating all the squeaks. (The noise for our new downstairs neighbor was intolerable.) ( And Dave, our neighbor, took us in during this stressful time. ) Are the squeaks gone? Stay tuned....
