How does Jerry see these birds? This hawk is on a branch in a dark wooded area.

"Hooded Warblers are common in moist leafy woodlands of the Southeast. They usually stay low in the shadowy understory, foraging actively in the bushes and nesting close to the ground, although males will move up into the trees to sing."audubon
We saw this bird May 2016 in the same park. Rumors are that there are two skulking about Sand Dune Park. I hope they stick around for a while.

I don't know the name of this tall tree with the orange flowers. The tree was very popular with the warblers. The birds are so high up and hidden by foliage.

"The name "warbler" means "singing with trills, runs and quavers" and was originally applied to European warbler species, unrelated to the North American wood warblers. Despite their namesake, wood warblers do not actually "warble." Rather, many species of this family may have several distinctive and cheerful songs. Almost entirely insectivorous, wood warblers use their slender, straight and pointed bills to capture prey. Members of the genus Dendroica (meaning "tree-dweller") include the Townsend's, Yellow-rumped and Yellow Warblers. A large group, this genus is primarily composed of arboreal warblers with wing bars and tail spots."

That pretty yellow face peeks out through the branches, shadows, and mist.
