It had been more than a week since I was out scouring one of our favorite haunts for migrating birds. Or just any bird that was willing to show its face.
Lunch time. Our deli sandwich came with a serving of vinegar and oil. Just tear open the package and apply to the bread. It was chilly enough to wear a jacket under the camera harness.
I managed to put a tiny hole in the packet before I carefully tried to make my sandwich even better with a touch of the spicy liquid. Somehow I sprayed a jet of salad dressing all over my pants and jacket. I don't understand why my camera was spared but it was. I looked at my poor phone with the cracked glass. Yup. I got it covered.
