This is a shot of the Grand Prismatic Spring from the wooden walkway. This geothermal hotspot has a rainbow of colors. From aqua, blue, green, purple, red and orange. I was told that the colors change in intensity with the weather conditions. The water is hot and full of chemicals. The bison walk through the area at times and I've seen videos on NatGeo of them keeping warm on the cold Wyoming winter days. Quite interesting place to see and stare at.
The Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone National Park is the largest hot spring in the United States, and the third largest in the world, after Frying Pan Lake in New Zealand and Boiling Lake in Dominica. It is located in the Midway Geyser Basin.
