This is a shot of a Painted Bunting I got at Green Cay Nature Center & Wetlands last year while visiting my Father. Looked at some older images and found this one unposted before so decided to work with it. Hard to work with as the images of the bunting were done without a flash which would have been so advantageous. Maybe next time huh?

Saw this guy in the distance while walking the trail at Green Cay Wetlands in Florida. At one point he started gazing right at me and I was getting ready for a take off. Some folks behind me were making a ruckus and I looked back at them. When I looked back at him I caught a glimpse of him flying away. Missed.
I thought it was cool how he stood on the one limb as if he was on a stilt. Awesome bird.

This is a two image panorama I shot at Swallow Falls State Park in Maryland a few weeks ago. The water was flowing well but not a whole heck of a lot of color with the Autumn foliage change. So what, its awesome to be down there hiking around anyway.
