With opening door.

One of my (other) favs is Doctor Who, and I have long wanted to build a Tardis - have seen many heron Flickr and whilst watching 'The Eleventh Hour' on my Ipod this morning on the way to work the design for this just seemed to materialise in my head. The doors dont open in LDD mode with both doors in place, but I dont really care that much - I would love to illuminate the insid like the fantastic version Doctor Sinister has already built - I played around with colour - This is the classic blue - I will build just as soon as I can get around to finding all the pieces on brickling - I'm sure i'll need to make some appropriate decals also, but this can then start to appear in my son's city.

Dang - the window pieces are only available in white and black - Spraypaint it may have to be !

So I've spent some time today refining the design in LDD, having played with the physical model, and I like this quite a lot.

The doors still have to be opened artificially, but this gives some scope for 'playing' with.

Now to design some nice decals and find the right paint colour...

Took a while, and the design is very much indebted to both Mark Stafford's version and Dr Sinister's. (Cheers both)
My son has has started to massively become a fan of the series, so this will no doubt be played with !
