Our sun is definitely waking up and on its way towards the next solar maximum. Our star will be at at its most active at that time. Predictions have it happening between November 2024 and March 2026.
There are quite a few sunspots visible in this photo. AR2866 on the bottom left is huge. AR2868 to its right is large, too. To the far right on the bottom is AR2863. Up top, far right, is 2864. Quite a few filaments visible, too. One is shaped a little like a bat. Guess Gotham City is trying to contact Batman.
