Sorry to break the colour photos but a new lens arrived yesterday (earlier than expected) so I had to try it (despite the rain!). The less popular Mamiya 7 210mm f8 lens!

Here is one of the bikes amongst the washing as a model for me.

This lens is interesting. You can't focus it via the VF/RF as it is not RF coupled. I couldn't compose it as I purposely bought it cheaper without the external VF. A bit like using the Hasselblad SWC which I have so I was up to the challenge! For me it is easier in theory to compose as I point the RF patch at the centre of the object. As it happens this is not the true centre of the photo! (All the photos cropped above where I aimed so good to know).

I loaded 35mm film again to test and I quite like the pano look.

Mamiya 7 + Mamiya 210mm f8 N @f8, 1/60 + C41 35mm very expired / non-refrigerated BW400CN film 400@200

AND... I opened a new bottle of Rodinal/Adonal to use! It's been a while for me and Rodinal so I thought it was time.

Rodinal 1:100, 21 degrees, 50mins, 1 inversion (semi-stand), Epson v800 scan

Sorry for the boring bike photos but I needed to test this lens before I use it on other subjects. As mentioned the Mamiya 7 210mm f8 lens!

Great to know I can focus pretty well by using a Leica and copying the distance onto the lens + some shallow depth of field at f8

I got out between the showers yesterday to shoot another roll with the new Mamiya 210 f8 lens. Not an easy lens to use but I enjoy the process :)

Shooting on a tripod in the rain under the cover of the tree canopy. I've been meaning to do a shot like this for ages on the 4x5 Intrepid..

Something else new! Scanned tonight, developed last night, shot in Poland in March.

I'm a big fan of Fomapan 100 Classic film so I thought I'd try a roll of their Foma Retropan 320 Soft. (I like sharp so I wasn't expecting too much!)

Karina, Poland

Leica M4-P + Leica Summilux 50mm f1.4 @f2? + 35mm Retropan 320

Rodinal 1:100, 21 degrees, 50mins, 1 inversion (semi-stand), Epson v800 scan

I also like fine grain and Retropan 320 in Rodinal certainly isn't that!! This was one of the most postable images from the whole roll. I'm sure grain lovers might like it.
