New work shot this morning after sunrise :) I wanted to test a new lens for my 4x5 and a new film back so got myself organised and made the most of the break in the rain. My first "photo walk" with my 4x5 kit and I absolutely loved it! I learned a lot and am already thinking ahead for the next one :)

(I know I swing between my various camera systems but when you use a 4x5 camera everything else doesn't seem worth bothering with. I love the process) - 4x5 blog due soon!

Intrepid 4x5 wood camera + new (to-me) Fuji-W 250mm f6.3 lens + Cambo 6x9 roll film back + 120 Fomapan 100 (Some front tilt @f32 I think)

Xtol 1:3, 23 degrees, 16min, Epson v800 scan

..some bleed from the developing but I still like it

After my 4x5 "photo walk" this morning I was driving home and saw the car i've been meaning to photo for at least a year (I even spoke to the owner 6mths+ ago). I was rushing as felt a bit weird with a 4x5 setup on the road pointing at a parked car! I half pulled the dark slide before realising the lens was open. I fire the shot anyway and this was the result. I kind of like it. Like a 70s car magazine cover!

(More car photos to come!)

Photo pretty much as scanned. I liked the vintage look :)

Another from my 4x5 "photo walk" last weekend. The light on these fence posts attracted me and I guess I was interested to see if I could make something worth posting from the location

I used a lot of front tilt to make the focus follow the tops of the fence posts yet blur the ground a little even at f22! (if my notes are correct). Shooting with tilt reminds me of my happy days with my Rollei SL66E. Awesome camera it just jams up too often (mine still needs repairing)(again)

Looking forward to trying this lens for portraits :)

Don't worry you haven't got the wrong Flickr feed. I just like to mix it up a bit!

Here is a less successful 4x5 camera night photo. The wind blew the teasels in the foreground which I focused on so nothing was in focus. It looks nice if you squint hence I put a bigger border on.. though i like how it rendered the buildings bottom left.

To mix it up a little.. I just scanned this from France last summer.

Zoom in to the writing bottom left of photo. Insanely sharp ha! (When the focus was on the top of the image).

Shot just before dark where I could just about see the outlines. My goal was to have all 3 high points (lamp + 2 spires in focus.. that was all I could really see it was so dark. HP5 turned night into day!. Lots of tilt and stopped down to get the depth.

4x5 Intrepid Camera (wooden view camera) + Fujinon-W 250mm f6.3 + Horseman 6x12 roll film back + 120 Ilford HP5 Plus @400-800

I wish I'd started YouTube sooner I could have shot loads of B roll and BTS in France! :( Next time! youtu.be/R6OOOAWmE7M
