This year I want to get back to 4x5 large format photography. I got my first 4x5 camera at the end of 2014 and since then time has passed in a blur. I had these 4x5 film holders loaded with film since the middle of 2017 I think but finally shot the film with Lindsay last week. I shot a 4x5 Polaroid first to test the light then shot some 4x5 Fomapan 100 sheet film (in the holders in the photo). I used the Sinar F2 as the Pacemaker Speedgraphic shutter is now sticking from lack of use I think.
I also have some interesting 4x5 stuff in the pipeline so watch this space! :) :)
The Polaroid was shot on expired Fuji FP-3000B B&W instant film rated at ISO 3200 so I shot it at f16. I then shot Fomapan 100 sheet film @100 @f4.5

@f16 yet the shoulders are blurry.. this is why I love large format photography! :)

Stacey shot on 4x5 sheet film - a tight crop of the face to appreciate the detail. It is not common to see sharp eyes yet bokeh balls on the lip gloss!

Not as strong a pose as the last photo posted on 35mm film but here is Stacey shot on 4x5 sheet film (see crop of face photo to appreciate the detail. It is not common to see sharp eyes yet bokeh balls on the lip gloss!)
More 4x5 photos coming this year.. 2 new 4x5 lenses arrived in the post this morning!! :) I need to be less rough loading the film into the holder to avoid the black marks on both sides of the photo. I also need to frame it better next time

Another photo of Stacey shot on 4x5 sheet film with the wedding hat/ look
I left the peg scuff mark from drying the film and the black marks from loading the sheet film into the film holder. Bad composition but I love the focus fall off from the lips to the eyes
