I mentioned I used different lenses on the Hasselblad for my initial bike shoot but I realised I didn't post many hasselblad examples.

Here: Hasselblad H3D-31 + 50mm Zeiss Distagon f4 CF lens @f4, ISO 400

The 50mm was my favourite FL on the H3D for the bike shoot

This is what has been distracting me from my photography since getting back from Budapest. I enjoyed riding the retro single gear bikes so much in Budapest when I got home I dug out my Cinelli Black Rats Mystic from the garage and set to work to pimp my ride!

Amongst hours and hours of research I stumbled across the UK based wheel specialist, Drew at Spinonthese.com. He made me a custom hand built wheel set to meet my requests. They are more than just pretty wheels, they are quite unusual - 28mm wide deep carbon rims that allow tyres to be ran at a much lower pressure giving a far better ride/ handling for when i'm racing around. The exact model I went for were "DM8 Superleggero Series SL-FiftyEight Super Fast Boys" track wheels.

If you appreciate bikes as much as cameras I would highly recommend you check him out!

I used this shoot to compare 3 lenses on the digital Hasselblad to see which focal length I prefer, 150mm Zeiss Sonnar f4 CF, 120mm Zeiss Macro Planar f4 CF, 50mm Zeiss Distagon f4 CF.

This was with the H3D-31 + 120mm Zeiss Macro Planar f4 CF @f4, 1/125, ISO 400 just before the rain came

Taken in Paris earlier this year just before Paris Fashion Week

I have been using my digital Hasselblad a lot more recently as I have sent my Leica M240 to Germany for calibration. It is a very good camera and has impressed me to the extent that I was considering investing in another Hasselblad HC lens.

I then remember the difference between 6x6 film format on a V-series Hassy verses a cropped 645 format on my H3D-31 H-series camera. You can't really compare say a 120mm macro lens on both bodies as 6x6 format will always produce more pleasing results I think. As long as this is considered I believe HC lenses are very good in their own right.

This film was developed and scanned long after I had returned from Paris so I have never had chance to share any of these images
