Tokina AF 100mm F/2.8 Macro AT-X + Nikon D800 (B&W JPEG)
For those that have followed me on Flickr from my very early days will know, my big thing used to be colourful macro photography, before discovery a love for portraits. Leica's are not well know for their macro ability so it is so nice to get as close as I like to my subject again. A macro lens can make the most basic subject look more exciting.
The Tokina 100f2.8 is a super sharp lens that offers fantastic value for money. I have owned a Tokina lens in the past on my Nikon D90 and they do make sharp solid lenses with a nice gearing system to switch from MF to AF
This 100mm will compliment my Leicas giving me a longer FL yet still being reasonably compact.

Unexpected girl-girl shoot tonight after 7 cancellations in a row over the last 10 days from 7 different models. Patience paid off.

First shoot with new lenses. Here Nikon D800 + Tamron 100mm f2.8 AF Macro. It looks edited to death but has only had contrast adjustment + some quick spot removal tool. Rest from the lights
I also shot 2 rolls of film in the Nikon F4

First sample photo from my latest trip to Poland
Nikon D800 + Tokina 100mm f2.8 (The resolution and tonal range (dynamic range) reminds me more of the Leica S2 than the Leica M9. Great for fashion photography). Note at last I now use Nikon D800 RAW (NEF) files as have the Adobe CC. In the past I shot RAW+JPEG but only used JPEGs as my copy of LR was too old for the camera. The difference between the JPEGs and RAW files is pretty immense! ..and impressive too. The broad range of grey tones reminds me more of B&W film. I like.
And I still have film photos to come! For this shoot session I used Fuji Acros 100 in my Nikon F4
