Leica M9 + Leica Noctilux 50mm f0.95!!! :D @f0.95
One from today's London Photography & Lighting Workshop. Katie was modelling for us again and Phil kindly lent me his amazing Leica Noctilux 50mm f0.95 lens. What a treat and fantastic timing as I ordered myself a Leica Noctilux 50mm f1.0 yesterday from Italy so I can now do a side comparison between the Leica Noctilux 50mm f0.95 and 50mm f1.0!

Leica M9 + Leica Noctilux 50mm f0.95 @f0.95 (on loan)(Thanks Phil!)
Despite the high price of Noctilux lenses the old Leica Summicron 90mm f2 can produce nicer headshots due to the longer focal length. The Noctilux would be so much better if the minimal focus distance was 0.7M (Like the Lux ASPH) rather than 1m. Looking forward to the arrival of my Leica Noctilux 50mm f1.0 :)

London Photography & Lighting Workshops - 2014
Here is an action shot from yesterday's London photography workshop with me and model Katie. Here I was teaching how to make the most of the using ambient light around you to light your portraits.
The next location workshop in London is already fully booked for June but I am looking to add additional dates in July and/or August depending on interest. I have already had a few people asking so please get in touch if you might be interested.

Another of Katie modelling for us in London last weekend.
I was trying out a kindly loaned Leica Noctilux 50mm f0.95 at f0.95 on my Leica M9 to see what it could do. I was teaching how to 'see' light for your portrait photos. This was daylight only without any modifiers. I teach photographers how to work around their 'subject' / model rather than standing in the same position throughout to see how the light falls on the models face from different angles and with adjusting the model pose.
