Paul - thanks for the recommendation on the ebay DSLRKIT remote for the FL360 flash. It's arrived!
We were out walking yesterday and stopped in a meadow for a picnic. I took the oppo to play with my new gear. This is using the FL360 mounted on a gorrilpod at ground level with me a meter or so behind taking through the grass. My better half was kindly patient enough to let me play with the manual flash settings until I had something I liked. She said she just wished she had known in advance so she could have put makeup on... and ideally not when we were hot and in 28 degrees heat on a walk! Even so, not too bad for a practice shot. Love the catchlights - bring the eyes to life. I feel i'm going to like this remote flash lark! :)
Setup: Nokton 40mm @1.4 + CP filter + ND8 filter (I realised the max shutter speed of 1/160 can be quite a pain, especially if shooting wide open! Had to result in stacking both filters I have and that did he trick). I love learning on the job!
