I want to try to shoot more colour film and have always been interested by the idea of buying a big roll of movie film then bulk loading it. Now I am bulk loading some of my B&W film I bought 200ft of Kodak Vision3 500T then ran myself off a few test rolls to shoot. I shot one to develop in C41 B&W chemicals and one to develop normally in colour. I couldn't find any detail online about B&W Kodak Vision3 images or developing so I used developed it in with a roll of TMax400 with my usualish developing time/temp.
Movie film has the black RemJet layer than needs removing pre-developing so I used bicarbonate soda (2 dessert spoons) in 600ml water at 40deg C then shook it alot and kept rinsing until water clear. I think I got maybe 90% off so need to shake more next time!..some residue left after developing.
I have shot the CineStill 800T version of Kodak Vision3 500T (remjet pre-removed) and I found it too grainy at high ISO. I shot this roll at ISO 200 and was amazed at the no grain results. Very happy. I think the film developed in C41 chemisrty will be more grainy.. to come
Last minute shoot with friend of a model as 'needed' to test to then send colour film to lab (note can't send unless remove RemJet yourself first)
